selling my G5 iMac and getting an intel c2duo from the refurb store was an eye opener in performance terms. the difference in clock speed from 1.8 to 2.0 didn't correlate to the difference in performance. really night and day as they say. Plus it is so much quieter. It is now getting on a bit (oct 2006) but still does everything calmly whereas the G5 had fans like a Harrier jump jet.
