what I meant was, if the iPad ond iPhone share an OS, surely it is possible 
technically for the iPhone to do it too? I hope this comes...

just discovered iPads don't output pdfs to an external video so now I will have 
to have a laptop, which means an iPad is not nearly as useful as I had hoped.
