Hey,

Travelling around EU at the mo. Got to say I'm getting disillusioned with my
Mac(s). Have been through 3 Macbooks for various reasons, 1 stolen, 1 dropped,
1 bought for pal whose travelling with.

The main thing that really pees us off is when we search around town for wifi,
eventually find it, only to find that it gives a self assigned IP address. What
is that all about? I thought Apple invented wireless. SUrely there's a way to
overcome this?

Does anyone else have problems with the cd drives on macs? Out of the 3 we've
had only one can now burn off CD's?

Added to that a dodgy trackpad on my new macbook pro - it wont press down - or
rather it will but it won't action anything - it's only 4 months old.

I want my pre-intel macbook back. it lasted three years, worked perfectly in
that time and was only killed by a pint of beer being spilled over it.

Rant over, apologies....
