Hi I have some .icns icon files I want to use as desktop icons. I have changed my Mac HD icon successfully, but I had to use terminal for that - I don't seem to be able to use them in the 'Get Info, Copy, Get Info, Paste' cycle as described here - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2493
Anyone got any hints? I'd like to be able to set finder-y things like downloads, home, etc. I've tried copying the icon file itself and pasting it into Get Info on the target but it isn't working - - currently my home folder has the generic .icns icon which isn't what I want at all! - are there perhaps requirements on the image types contained in the .icns file?
