What does it show when the VM is running? Basically, you have to install Parallels Tools on the Windows VM to allow Parallels to adjust the screen resolution etc automatically so that you can do fullscreen etc. By clicking 'Install Parallels Tools' in the VM menu it mounts a virtual CD in the VM which you then install Parallels Tools from.
