I second the warning about using WPA over WEP.  Thankfully most broadband
provided routers these days seem to come with WPA encryption as standard,
but only a few years ago WEP was very common...  I assume so that providers
could advertise their routers as being "secure" while saving costs on
training their support staff on having to help really old devices to
connect.  Nowadays there isn't a single WEP network within range of me.

BT Homehubs were WEP by default, and very prevalent until recently, and that
was the source of my internet access for about a year and a half before I
moved into my current flat and got a phone line of my own.  The article is
correct, it really can take as little as 7 minutes to decrypt WEP keys.
