Hi Gillian Switch the new MBA on > Choose to migrate the data from another Mac via a wireless network (or ethernet if you have the USB to ethernet adapter) > make sure the imac is on the same wireless or wired network > open Applications > Utilities > Migration Assistant (on the old iMac) > choose to migrate TO another Mac > follow the instructions there.
