Well, now that since iOS 4.2.1 I've got a "Multitasking iPad" the only significant difference I've noticed in day to day use from my old low-tech "Quit this app. Launch that app. Quit that app, relaunch original app" days is that my iPad is now slower and uses the battery up faster!
The main thing the next iPad will need is a faster processor to return its speed back to the zippy days of iOS 3.2. I'm sure Apple will give it one. Ah, the joys of progress...
