Is there any way of stopping this? Not only are names duplicated 2, 3 or 4 times but also within an address if I have written a note for instance the name of someone's husband, this is duplicated about 8 or 10 times. Infuriating! I suspect that it is something to do with synchronising iPads to desktop computer, although sync addresses is not ticked. I have frequently used "look for duplicates" (under Card in Address menu) and ticked "merge" but it does not seem to make much difference. This is a facility only on the desktop computer, not on the iPad. Duplicates on iPad address book are particularly irritating and the only way to get rid of them is by hand. The synchronising should take place via Mobile Me, but it seems to have gone bonkers. Surely other people must have this problem? What do you do about it?
