I am a member of
Audible<http://www.audible.co.uk/aduk/site/index.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes>and
listen to audio books that I have downloaded from them in the car. The
downloads are copied to iTunes and then burned to CD-RWs.

There is a problem with CD-RWs that have 16-24x speed ratings in that quite
often there is a large amount of "hiss" or noise at the end of the CD-RW,
sometimes making them unplayable and they even stop playing completely. I
can play them on the Mac, but there is still some hiss at the end.

CD-RWs that have a rating of 1-4x speed do not have the problem.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any advice? I guess I should stick to 1-4x,
but it does take a long time to transfer a complete book (sometimes to over
20 CD-RWs).
