Hi Jason,

I agree with you about the workflow hassle, but I've tried using my iPod to
play audio books in the car (my car even has a socket to plug the iPod
directly into the sound system) but my iPod forgets from one day to the next
where it had got to . . . and so do I. CDs are just more convenient.

Audible recordings are divided up into tracks automatically when recorded to
CDs, it is just that annoying hiss on the final 5 or 6 minutes of the CD
that is the problem with the faster speed discs.
