Hi, I'm afraid that my recent experience with my iPad replacement - the old one had a faulty battery, has been the same. They replaced the whole unit, lovely job, after the first time I charged it no problem, but second charge it wont charge, gott im himmel! we also had that top keyboard replaced on the MacBook. The track pad is now acting strangely again after working perfectly for a week. We only had them replaced 2 weeks ago!
It's such a shame and frankly terrible marketing, that the experience we had of the free replacement which we talked about in a positive manner and were well impressed with, has been blown away by the faultiness of the replacements, I mean, whats the point, they are wasting both our time... Poor if this is a regular thing and not one off, very poor...
