I use Undercover from Orbicule: http://www.orbicule.com/undercover/ - I can't 
tell you how well it works because none of my Macs has been lost or stolen 
since I started using it, but it looks good. They also do an iOS version for 
iPhone etc, and they also have a new product called Witness which lets you use 
your Mac as a security camera.
