I think that, looking over the new features, you'd be at a significant disadvantage not upgrading even if you're happy with the way Leopard/Snow Leopard works.
Auto-saving of your documents, auto-versioning as well, will really help. Apple Mail looks particularly good with the new features. Apps save their state automatically, so you can restart to exactly where you left off. Lion has a built-in utility partition so you can reinstall/restore your Mac without the need for a disc. Aside from the new stuff, some new features of the iCloud system won't run on Snow Leopard or earlier. You can even use Lion to migrate from a PC now, it'll cost me money in support time but ultimately it's a great feature for the user. And most importantly, Lion's now available in Arabic, Czech, Turkish & Hungarian.
