Hi Rob It does occur at about the same point on each recording.
I think the mini does have an input point. I am new to Macs and haven't recorded on it before. I have Garage but haven't used it yet. I don;t know if there is any other way of recording on the mac? I have to do this work very quickly. I have a microphone, a very cheap one which is a logitec. I did plug it in on the back, there are two jack points, one for headphones and the other one looked like an input, but when I switched the mike on, it didn't light up. I looked in the preferences and under sound there is an audio line input and the levels were up reasonably high, but still no joy. I did wonder if the voice recorder on my phone was faulty? not sure if this can happen.
