I'd also suggest having a look inside IF you know what you're doing. I
had a Macbook do this and it turned out it was choked with dust.
But only if you don't mind risking it;)
It's probably linked to high CPU. Runing anything intensive (like
Flash?) Just leaving the Guardian homepage open can ramp CPU up to 97%...
