I have had my Magic Mouse for some time but it is ruining my desk. It is leaving a black substance everywhere on the desk it is used. I installed a thin mouse mat and it is doing the same to that. I have to rub the desk really hard to get the black off. I am sure I am not pressing too hard. Where my little finger rests on the mouse mat it is coming away black! Can anyone explain what is happening? If not am thinking of getting a magic track pad to overcome this problem.
