The mystifying part of this is that on the keyboard preferences there are settings to change the key repeat rate and the delay before repeat! I can only assume that this is a bug from Apple as if not then these two settings have no use at all ...
Also, when viewing Sam's email below in Lion's Mail, hovering the mouse near the end of the link produces a down arrow; click it and a "Quick Look" window of the web page appears. Sweet.
