Assuming its the aluminium 27", the glass front window has to come out to get a
replacement disk in. This either means the repair has to be carried out in a
'clean' room or by someone with the patience of a saint (not me!) and lint free
gloves.

On the rare occasions I've had to put a new drive in one of these, I send it
over to Maidstone to my local AASP, MicroSpot.

'Fraid I don't know where an AASP close to Crawley would be.I'm loath to say
'Solutions' but quite happy to say CanCom!
