I was up to date with Time Machine so just jumped straight in. As the install is all done from the internal drive there's no chance of an external drive connection being severed so the install's quite safe. It resumes anyway if interrupted just like Lion.
Snippets doesn't work at all and is no longer being developed so I switched to CodeBox. First thing I did was disable GateKeeper as I need to run many different apps on my laptop. Will be attempting to install it on my 2006 MacPro next, with Chameleon's EFI64 boot emulation it appears to work well.
