Miracle. Two fingers on the track pad up to top of screen and hey presto ( one finger didn't work). Many thanks for your help. But.... Having just written the above, I move track pad down the page and menus disappear. While arrow is at the top so is the menu bar. But as soon as the arrow moves the menu bar disappears. How can I stop this happening? I have ticked 'always show bookmarks' in the View menu and as a result bookmarks are staying in place. But the menu bar goes when I move the arrow.
