Ok, so as suggested by Sam and everyone that helped I changed the names on the N600 from their default NETGEAR and now my iPad finds and connects to the 5G and stays connected, and my iPhone connects to the 2.4G and stays connected even though I had to manually enter the Network name as it didn't automatically appear in the list.
My problem now is that my Sky router doesn't show the Network in the list, even though it can 'see' my neighbours and others. Although there is the option to enter the NETGEAR by name, as I had to with my iPhone, it still won't connect. Any clues?
