Put my wife's iPhone 4 on iOS 6 this morning. Bit early yet but she hasn't noticed any worsening of performance as yet and no lag - if by that you mean touch delay.
On the double plus side she welcomes the Facebook integration - she is very active on Facebook - and the 'Can't take your call' type phone additions.
