I made a film yesterday with one of my kids, 12 minutes long, on my iPad 3 with
imovie but because it's so large, it's problematic to export. I bought the new
Mac iMovie because it said it opened iOS files but it keeps giving an error.

The file takes up about 6 gigs now, because when it 'exports to iTunes' it
seems to create a separate file. my iPad is jammed full even though I've
deleted an awful lt of stuff.

Any suggestions for

a) getting the file off (I can't export to Camera Roll because I can't get that
many gigs free without wrecking the iPad's files and deleting many heavily-used
apps, along with their settings).

b) working with it if the new version of imovie won't open the file
?

thanks in advance.
