Hi Jason,

Did you managed to transfer your film? 

I shoot 720 &1080, not with the ipad, but have never had 6G file from such a 
short 12 min film.
If you plug your ipad into your Mac and open up iphoto, it should appear there, 
it will run in iphoto.

Hope that helps, that's if your still stuck.
