On the iPad go to Home > Settings > General > Resets > Reset All Settings (this 
won't delete your data, just system settings). The iPad will restart and you 
may need to enter some settings again, usually just wifi passwords, that might 
help. The reset cured one of my client's iPads that was able to get online but 
couldn't connect to the iTunes store.
