I don't know much about graphics cards so start gently.... My 11-yr old is a
big minecrafter and his MacBook is at its limit, can't display a lot of they
mods etc. We are wondering about picking up a second-hand Mac Pro when the new
ones come out (presuming a flood on eBay). How do I get started on
performance-checking on graphics cards? They all have snazzy names... What we
want to do is to get a sense of what spec he needs and what the cheapest older
Mac Pro can run that card? (Ie interested in upgrading the graphics card above
what the machine would normally have). Obviously RAM, CPU etc will feature but
we are after the optimum balance....

Cheers
