I stopped being interested in 'wow' about 10 years ago, maybe longer than
that, usually buying well behind the curve, often with refurbs, to meet my
needs - not interested in what the tech press think of Apple. I'm in the 'good
enough' camp.

I'll be upgrading from a 4S to 5s though, asap. The 4S was the first phone I
saw as being the 'camera you have with you' and the 5s seems to be a
significant step on as far as this is concerned, especially the extra
processing power for editing. I do think that the 5s design augurs an advance
in augmented reality apps, partly due to the combination of 64bit processor and
the direction Apple is taking with iOS 7. That for me is 'wow' rather than
GGlass or smart watches which I feel have limited capability.

I look forward to 64bit processing coming to the iPad, which I'll upgrade to
from this iPad 2. Then I'll be almost free of OS X and desktop/laptops - my Mac
Mini as a home media server, and white MacBook repurposed as a web server to
replace the iBook which has been doing this untouched for some years.

Regards,

Tony
