Yes, you can't tether on Giffgaff. And if you put a phone plan on an iPad by
mistake they detect it and cut you off (but restore if you get in touch)
I tried 3 in London with my ipad but the signal was completely crappy. I took
it back and they tried very hard to keep me, offering many gigs for a few quid.
Eventually he took the point that 'no data 90% if the time' made this
irrelevant.
The other thing they tried was for me to spend hours troubleshooting with an
engineer.
I wish they had offered a replacement Sim, looking back.
