It certainly does!

My iPod touch is running iOS7 and I don't think it has ever crashed.

My iPad Air though crashes at least once a week since I've had it whereas my 
old iPad Classic crashed about twice in 3 years!

It seems to happen either when using Safari or using the multitasking viewer to 
flip between apps, often at the moment I double-click the Home button. There 
are probably other times too but as you say it's all so fast it's hard to know.

I've contacted Apple at least twice. Clearly others have too ...
