spent the entire day trying to resurrect my son's Windows 7 computer,
about a month old. Windows seems to have got corrupted and everything
fails, all the repairs I can attempt, even a clean install or upgrade.
Is there anything I can create on the Mac to help fix it? I found this

swear by - but all I get is an exe file on my mac laptop:(
We have a supposedly full installer DVD (burned from a download) which
installed it happily onto an empty disk to start with but now refuses to
do anything even a clean install because the partition map is MBR not GP
(er, what's the last letter)?
Not going OT - just asking if there's any bootable repair solution
accessible from a Mac...
