I used to find this sort of thing happening when others were poaching on a 
network. I'd turn my machine off, and then find someone else had acquired the 
IP I was on. I don't remember if this was dynamic or hand set (it happened a 
lot in a university in Australia).

I don't remember if you have password protected your network. If not you might 
have someone borrowing your wifi, and that just might be cause of the problem.

Thi smay be utter nonsense, or perhaps not.
