Hi everyone. I'm currently working with a talented composer who has learning and physical disabilities. He has learnt to compose using musical notation on a program that is great for this but very limited in terms of mixing and production. This means that he can create great pieces but it's a struggle to get them sounding as professional as he'd like them to.
I use Logic which I know would be great for composing using notation and would give him the ability to mix and use decent sounds as well. At present he has a homemade and slightly cranky PC which means we can't use logic. Does anyone have an old iMac capable of running Logic 8 that they would be interested in donating or one that is available for cheap as he has limited resources. Alternatively does anyone know of any good quality PC programs that work both as multi line composition tools and are able to mix audi and midi to a good standard? I work with Logic and know it well so it would be ideal in that sense but open to any ideas! If anyone thinks they might be able to help please get in touch. I am able to verify my credentials through the charity I work through if you are concerned that I may just be after a cheap computer ;) All the best Ben -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
