Hello, Over recent weeks I have had problems on my MacBook Pro only which is running Yosemite regarding the Mail application. I have the issue where no email are displayed in my inbox or sent box despite there being almost 30,000 messages and the application is slow to respond. Activity Monitor does not show the application as not responding and the computer isn't under any stress. This issue can sometimes be fixed by restarting the computer. I have attached a screenshot if this is not clear to anyone.
