Thanks Sam, Apple Mail used to have a bounce button......why they had
to remove subsequently I'll Never know! But I must thank you as always
for your input!

You’re generally best off silently deleting junk, otherwise you only
confirm the existence of your email (Apple Mail can’t do a ‘proper’
user-unknown bounce) and you’ll end up getting more spam. Try setting
up a rule to catch emails with a specific set of words and delete
automatically.

Hi Jason I suppose you can junk them but the sender would not know
that! I had a dispute with someone and decided I did not want to
receive anymore of their emails but I wanted them to know it!

you could set up a rule that faked one, I guess. Would be a bit
fiddly! I don't think it achieves much unless it's instantaneous (ie
it's not credible if it comes an hour later)
But you can (appear to) set the headings I think, which is what
you'd need.
Why would you do that? If it's a spammer, they're not going to take
you off their list and if it's an enemy, you can just filter them to
trash or ignore them...(I am curious though).

Is there any facility for bouncing emails? Mac Mail used to have
this facility but it would seem not any more? It was a nifty
useful thing!
Thanks, Peter

If you're a keyboard person and like markdown, and a bit
nerdy, look at Mailmate.
Filing emails via the keyboard is something I wanted for
decades...
