I updated my iPhone 6S Plus this evening. The download was 2.05GB which took
about 5 minutes on our fibre connection.

Installation was about 25 minutes.

Early impressions are good. App loading seems a bit more snappy. General
activities seem a bit speedier. Haven’t found anything untoward as yet.

Storage space usage is neutral - free space almost the same as before.

I’ve 2 apps which do not run on iOS 11 and which I’ve yet to hear from their
developers as to their intentions. 2 out of 85 isn’t to bad to in my view. Both
I can work round, either with different apps or a change in workflow - a bit
more cumbersome if the latter.

The David Pogue review gets it about right - lots and lots of small changes
which are to be welcomed rather than major new features.

All in all iOS 11 is worth upgrading to. But don’t forget to do a a proper
backup beforehand just in case.

And in case anyone is interested the update to WatchOS 4 took over an hour.
Peeling grapes is more interesting.

Regards,

Tony
