While cycling into town last week my 5s popped out of my pocket (riding in too
much of a hurry), was found and came back to me after 24 hours (meanwhile I had
barred sim, erased etc). Screen was very smashed up. Local guy has replaced
what was a black bordered screen with a white one but now I can’t set up Touch
iD. All else works (although having problems activating a new sim with
giffgaff).
Just did a soft reset - still nothing.
Question - could it be that I should have had the screen replaced with a black
one (white was all he had in stock at that moment)?
Or the connector hasn’t gone back in correctly?
Also seen a post that Apple may have to re-progranne the software.
Any thoughts while I live with just putting in the passcode.
Many thanks,
Nick
