Hi Andrew, thanks for your reply. I still have a Sony reel to reel deck working (just about), and a Technics cassette deck, which can fast-forward but not rewind! The Tascam and Zoom SD audio recorders look fantastic. I've never heard of them before and they seem the perfect solution. Unfortunately, I was looking for a much cheaper purchase at the moment, but they are certainly on my wish list for next year.
