Thanks for this Sam I shall have a look…..I use two: CleanMYMac 3 (extremely utile) and Sophos which found very poor I am now using Bitdefender (Free) not much better. If cleanmymac 3 perceives a problem it will want to launch. You can see it going through its paces and what area it is looking at whilst it scans. There is a lifetime fee to unlock the full programme.
