My old faithful Apple Cinema Display 20” suddenly turned itself off yesterday mid-afternoon (I have two more displays connected to my MacPro (2008)).
Fearing the worst I shut everything down and went and hid in a dark cupboard! This morning I carefully turned everything back an and MY APPLE CINEMA DISPLAY WORKED - hooray.
