I upgraded my Macbook Air, which was struggling before with not having
much RAM and it seems much better, which is great. But I agree with
Derek, no harm waiting to let them sort out bugs (there's already an
update with beta testers, I believe). The traditional advice is to wait
for the first update (ie X.Y.1) though these days they rarely make huge
blunders.
