As others have already said it should be a fairly straight forward process. My only advice would be to use this as an opportunity to clear up your files and clean your system. By that I mean making sure everything is saved in a logical location and deleting what you no longer need to keep. Not knowing how much data you are transferring but, if you no longer need the file then there is no point waiting for it to copy across.
