Hi Tony The term eBook is the generic name for all kinds digital formats. These include PDFs (fixed and Interactive) , Reflowable ePubs, FXL ePubs, Apple iBooks, and InDesign’s Publish Online. Each format had advantages (features) and disadvantages.
The short answer to your question is, no, you can’t directly convert a PDF to another format. PDF - is an intermediate format, in the sense it’s normally created from another application, such as MSWord or InDesign. You can extract the text and images from a PDF and create another format (for print or digital), but that’s an indirect process. Which application is your original book in?
