Thanks Sam and Derek. So Sam, despite reviews saying “don’t buy 2017 iMac or 2019 base model as such dated chips” you wouldn’t worry?
I’m asking as there’s iMac with SSD refurb models from 2017 for a ‘reasonable’ price on Apple.com. It’s whether I should buy that or wait a month or two for 2019 refurb models? I guess much depends on whether 8th gen really is much better than 7th? I’m totally befuddled in trying to compare! Adam Sent from my iPhone.
