Dear SMUGs
Can anyone advise me? For some time I have been tinkering with the Mail
account on my iMac. It received mail via IMAP but he problem has been that
it would not *send* mail. The error message used to read: Cannot connect to
iCloud SMTP.
The Apple advice told me to go to Account Prefs and see if "server supports
SSL". I couldn't see that was so, so I followed the advice to deselect "use
TLS/SSL" in the server settings.

Now it looks as if I'm not receiving mail too!

I can still use Mail on my iPhone and iPad, but it looks like I've totally
messed up my Mail account on the iMac.

Can anyone describe how to fix it all in simple language?
Phil T
