Dear SMUGs Can anyone advise me? For some time I have been tinkering with the Mail account on my iMac. It received mail via IMAP but he problem has been that it would not *send* mail. The error message used to read: Cannot connect to iCloud SMTP. The Apple advice told me to go to Account Prefs and see if "server supports SSL". I couldn't see that was so, so I followed the advice to deselect "use TLS/SSL" in the server settings.
Now it looks as if I'm not receiving mail too! I can still use Mail on my iPhone and iPad, but it looks like I've totally messed up my Mail account on the iMac.
