Well basically my parents were idiots. They didnt think I should even know anything about sex till i was 25. Now I will say that the school I went to had one of the lower teenage pregnancy rates in Va, I would like to think b/c they didnt glamorize sex in those classes. My friends would constantly talk to me about what went on in that class....most of them complaining b/c they were urging the kids not to have sex till after marriage and they thought they were going to learn all kinds of "cool" things about sex. Now I do know that while we had one of the lower pregnancy rates as compared to other schools, there were a few girls, mostly the cheerleaders that used abortion as their form of birth control, but these same girls didnt take the sex ed class either. Thats what made me so mad when I got pregnant....these same girls that used abortions as their way of birth control criticized me for being pregnant...but ya know, I thought I was a better person b/c even though yes I screwed up, I didnt kill the baby.

See that was what I said basically. Not all parents talk to their kids about sex. My parents didnt and they wouldnt consent to me taking any sex ed classes either.

i have no idea why they wouldnt consent if they wouldnt talk to you. but i still believe they need those consent forms because alot of parents do talk to their kids and dont want the school glamorizing sex before marriage.
