LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Will Ferrell is set to join an elite group that includes Paddington Bear and the Gorton's fisherman.
The "Old School" actor will star as the Man in the Yellow Hat, or at least his voice, in the animated "Curious George," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the children's classic books of the same name, "George" follows the adventures of an inquisitive little monkey who is transplanted from the jungle to the big city by the Man in the Yellow Hat and gets into numerous scrapes. In 2001, the mischievous simian celebrated his 60th anniversary in print. The Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment project is set for a Nov. 4, 2005 release. The "Saturday Night Live" alum is currently filming "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," which he co-wrote. The funnyman appears opposite James Caan next in the Christmas comedy "Elf" for which he will receive the ShowEast Comedy Star of Tomorrow in October. "Elf" opens Nov. 7.
