LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly once played a ghost who stalked Billy Crudup in the flop "Waking the Dead." She is now reportedly in discussions to star in a remake of the Japanese thriller "Dark Water," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story revolves around a mother and her daughter relocating to an apartment haunted by the ghost of a young girl. A January start date is planned. "Dark Water" will mark the English-language directing debut of Brazilian filmmaker Walter Salles. Salles is best known for the critically acclaimed "Central Station." Connelly, who most recently starred in "The Hulk," earned an Oscar last year for her work in "A Beautiful Mind." She next stars in the drama "House of Sand and Fog" alongside Ben Kingsley. Salles recently directed "The Motorcycle Diaries" based on the diaries of Ernesto "Che" Guevara and his friend Alberto Granado, chronicling their journey across Latin America in 1952. ________________________________ Changes to your subscription (unsubs, nomail, digest) can be made by going to http://sandboxmail.net/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
