Ozzy tour on shaky ground, canceled
BOSTON -- Ozzy Osbourne has canceled his European shock-rock tour to take treatment for severe shaking, the London Mirror reported Wednesday. The 54-year-old's trembling was obvious in episodes of the reality television show, "The Osbournes," but it apparently caused him enough concern to seek help from a Boston neurologist, the report said. Neurologist Allan Ropper, of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston does not believe Ozzy has Parkinson's disease as has been reported, and explained why singing would be a challenge during treatment. "His tremor is now under control," Ropper said. "Unfortunately some of the medication I prescribed can cause extreme dryness of the mouth." Osbourne said he hopes to reschedule the European tour for next year. This year's was to have launched in Dublin, Oct. 22.
