German Dog May Give Nazi Salute
A German man who allegedly trained his dog, Adolf, to give a Hitler salute is facing charges of breaching the country's anti-Nazi laws. Nazi symbols, gestures, words and actions can be interpreted as condoning Nazism, which is illegal in Germany, the BBC reports. The dog's owner, named only Roland T, is being evaluated to see is he is mentally responsible for his actions. However, Carola Ruff, from a Berlin animal welfare group, tells the Berliner Kurier newspaper there is nothing strange about Adolf's behavior, because "raising a paw is what dogs are born to do."
